On Saturday we attended the TY TPN Conference and it was fantastic to speak with Transition Year Co-ordinators who are genuinely passionate about meaningful learning. A huge talking point was AI in schools. Rowan Cull, our co-founder who works in the corporate world, shared real insight into how AI is used professionally, not to cheat, but to increase productivity, improve research and enhance creativity.

The Reality: Students Are Already Using AI

The reality is that students are already using tools like ChatGPT from OpenAI. The issue isn’t access — it’s misuse. Without guidance, AI becomes a shortcut for assignments rather than a tool for deeper thinking.

AI Must Be Taught Correctly
