Supporting The New Curriculum
We recently delivered our AI Unleashed Ireland TY Workshop at Ardscoil Ris, working with Transition Year students to explore artificial intelligence in a practical, responsible and engaging way. As part of the new TY curriculum, schools are encouraged to develop students’ digital literacy, critical thinking and real-world skills, and this TY Workshop is designed specifically to meet those outcomes.
Responsible AI Use In Schools
With the rapid rise of AI tools in schools, misuse and over-reliance on AI has become a real concern for teachers and parents alike. During the workshop, students learn what AI is, how it works, and most importantly how to use it ethically and correctly to support learning rather than replace it. This TY Workshop focuses on responsible use, understanding limitations, and building awareness around plagiarism, bias and digital responsibility.
Tackling AI Misuse Head-On
AI is no longer optional in education, it’s essential. Our TY Workshop gives students the skills to engage with AI confidently, responsibly and in line with the new TY Programme Statement, while supporting schools in addressing the challenges AI presents in the classroom. Workshops like this help future-proof students’ learning and ensure AI is used as a tool for growth, not a shortcut.
